Big Bed & New Room
Monday, April 28th, 2008Arthur was given his new bed today, in his new room (old playroom).
Arthur was so excited. “Wow - Pretty!”
Arthur kept climbing up and down the ladder and pretending to sleep and wake.
Arthur was fast asleep by 9.15pm and was too excited to even want a story!!
Arthur draws a face!
Saturday, April 19th, 2008Arthur was playing on his aqua draw and actually drew a face. Ok it was not perfect but it was definately recognizable as a face. He drew the eyes, nose and mouth too. My biggest regret is that I did not take a photo of it, as with aqua draw the picture fades after a little while. He even explained the face to us. Mummy and Daddy could not believe it, so Arthur was asked to draw another face and he did!
He also said “Idea” today.
3 Accidents in one day!
Friday, April 18th, 2008Considering how long Arthur has been toilet trained and considering that he is also dry at night, it was quite odd to have 3 accidents in one day. Once at nursery, once at playgroup and once at home before bed! I guess we all have off days!
A day in Staines
Tuesday, March 25th, 2008Arthur was really impressed by all the works going on in Staines. He was so excited going everywhere. (Though Mummy was worried he would get hurt - but Grandmama doted on him and ensured he was always safe!)
Arthur’s Dry Nights!
Thursday, March 20th, 2008Due to the rash we were advised to leave him nappyless at night. And guess what…. that is right, he had a dry night.
Arthur was not too keen on his antibiotics though he was really cute and kept saying yummy (with a grimace on his face) and “better”. So we mixed it with a little milk and chocolate nesquick. It went down a treat.
Arthur seems to be much better though he still is hardly eating.
Arthur has a rash!
Wednesday, March 19th, 2008This morning as Mummy dressed Arthur to go swimming, Mummy found a rash on Arthur’s legs and bottom. She noticed it was unusual and did the glass test. As the rash did not go, she got the meningitis test and it still did not fade. So Mummy dashed Arthur to the doctor who thankfully saw Arthur immediately. It was Dr Dickinson as Dr Sharpe was away. Dr Dickinson said it was not meningitis but he did not say what it was. He said we could go swimming but to pop back later to see if the rash was spreading.
So we went swimming. And at 4.15pm Daddy came to meet us and go see Dr Dickens. The rash did not go down but did not spread but he referred us to Hospital. Needless to say that worried Mummy & Daddy like crazy. We were immediately given a room. Arthur had to have some blood taken for tests. He was so good, he did not cry, not even when they stuck a needle in to take the blood. He made Mummy and Daddy so proud. Even the doctors were amazed at how good he was. We were there for 4 hours but thankfully Arthur was given the all clear bar a slightly sore throat. He was given antibiotics as a precaution, and we were given an all access pass in case we saw any new signs. Needless to say we were mostly relieved. Arthur was allowed to come back home.
Last time at First Steps
Tuesday, March 18th, 2008Today was Arthur’s last time at First Steps as next term he will be at Nursery on Tuesdays. Time flies so fast!! Ellie and Amirah were there and he loved it.
Then we headed (with Amirah and her Mummy) to The Well for Lunch but Arthur hardly touched his food again.
Then off to the playgroup at Onchan Nursery.
Needless to say at the end of the day we were exhausted, but it was a lovely day.
Back to Daddy!
Saturday, March 15th, 2008The nice bit about travelling, is that we get to go home. It is particularly nicer to know that we are going home to Daddy. Arthur has really missed Daddy (and Daddy missed Arthur). Getting on the flight from Gatwick to IOM made Saturday all the sweeter.
Daddy and Arthur then got to spend the rest of the day playing together, especially the morning while Mummy was at college.
Flying with the Grandparents!
Thursday, March 13th, 2008This was a special flight from Malta to London Heathrow as Arthur flew with his Grandparents! Arthur sat in between Grandmama and Grandpapa. He was like a little king!
