Mummy & Daddy had Saturday Night Fever, so Grandmama babysat while Mummy & Daddy went out on a date to the cinema!
Arthur went to meet Amirah at Dragon’s Castle at 10.30am. Arthur did not seem to want to come down the small slide. Climbing the big one was of more interest! We could not order food at Dragon’s Castle after the session as apparently we have to order it 20 minutes in advance. They did not even have sandwiches. So we came back home and had lunch at home.
This morning we were going swimming, but as we were going out, the joiner came to fix the gate. So it meant we could not go.
However, all was not bad, because Grandmama came to stay for Easter. I cannot decide who was happier, Grandmama or Arthur?
We went to a new Mums & Tots group today. It was fantastic. We went there at 10am and met Amirah and her mum. There were all sorts of toys to play with. There was toast for the little ones and juice too. After, there was a singing session upstairs.
We then went to lunch at the adjoining café. That was lovely too.
We walked back home stopping off at the park near our house. Arthur made yet another new friend “George”. He is a sweet furry dog! I wonder how long it will be before Arthur is begging for a puppy!
Arthur slept through the night again. Mummy Happy!
We went to the BF Club again. It was nice to be there, but I guess it won’t be long before we won’t be going there again. After BF, we met Daddy for lunch. We went to KFC. Arthur ate all his popcorn chicken, and some chips. It is always nice to see Arthur eat so heartily. Daddy went back to work and Mummy took Arthur to the swings. Arthur made another new friend call Faith. They shared a see-saw together and went up and down the slide together several times. ![]()
We all went for a family walk to Nobles Park. Although Arthur had the luxury of a pushchair to get there, he did enjoy the walk around Nobles Park. Sadly the children’s swings were closed, but Arthur still enjoyed playing on some of the big swings, especially the see-saw. It was a really nice outing.
Arthur slept all night long! Mummy is ever so happy even though he was wide awake and starving at 7am. Let’s hope all our good work won’t be ruined by the change of hour. It would be a case of one step forward 3 steps back! Fingers crossed.
Mummy had to opportunity to take some photographs of a wedding, so Arthur spent the afternoon with Daddy. Daddy took Arthur to the swings and for a walk on the prom!
Arthur slept from 1.30-4.00pm today. Mummy woke him up. At which point Arthur was starving. Mummy took him down to cook Maltova. But he meanwhile found a few left over Cheerios from this morning and ate those.
He refused to sit in his highchair and Mummy was expecting a repeat of yesterday. But he sat on a big chair and ate almost all his Maltova. He also nibbled on some cheese. Then Mummy offered Arthur a biscuit and he signed “please”. As Mummy gave Arthur a biscuit Arthur said “Two”. Mummy Laughed. Arthur received 2 biscuits.
Mummy & Arthur had a dispute today. Mummy made Arthur some delicious soup and meatballs, but Arthur refused to even try it. A whole hour and a lot of crying later, Mummy gave up. It meant that Arthur had no dinner. Mummy was rather upset and worried.
Arthur learnt how to sign “Please” today. He also learnt to sign “please” when he would like something. Though what is really cute, is that he will throw a kiss many a time while signing “please”. Needless to say, he usually gets what he asks for when he signs “please”, especially when combined with a kiss!
Arthur’s Easter Present arrived early. Mummy & Daddy bought Arthur a kitchen for Easter. As Mummy assembled it to ensure that it was all OK, Arthur woke up from his nap. The look on his face when he saw the kitchen was one of utter amazement. He went straight to it and played with it all afternoon.
We were originally going to put it away until Easter, but we have decided to leave it out, as he is still too young to really appreciate “Easter”. Besides which, he may also be left an egg by the Easter Bunny!
