Mummy has decided that it was time to bite the bullet and make sure that Arthur learns to sleep. As of midnight leading to the first of May, Mummy decided that Arthur is not going to get any more breast milk in the night. The question is will Mummy manage?
After Mass, we drove to Laxey for Lunch. After Lunch, we headed to the beach and had an Ice Cream. Arthur pretty much scoffed his whole ice-cream.
I think you can say that this was Arthur’s first time on a beach since he started walking and really playing. He ran straight to the sea. Mummy tried her hardest to steer Arthur from the sea, so he headed straight to a major pool puddle and went straight in. Mummy just about rescued his clothes. Mummy had to enter the water and thought it was freezing. Arthur really did not seem to mind. He made a new friend called Charlotte.
It was a lovely day out.
Grandmama took Arthur for a walk this morning.
There was an aquanatal reunion at Tot Lot in the afternoon. Mummy took Arthur there and bought Arthur a season ticket to Tot Lot for Arthur. It was Arthur’s first time to Tot Lot. No-one turned up except for Sam and his Mummy. Naturally, Arthur made a few new friends at Tot Lot!
Mummy took Arthur to his swimming class. Arthur decided to start swimming alone. He started by splashing around in the baby pool and then took off swimming. He did have a couple of armband rings but they are not enough to hold him up without trying to swim. He is a little Duckling!
Grandmama took Arthur to the playgroup. They met Amirah and her Mummy. Then Grandmama took Arthur to the swings.
Mummy missed Arthur today.
This evening as Mummy took Arthur up to bed, she went to the playroom to get the next Mr Men book and Arthur followed Mummy into his playroom. He then promptly climbed into his big bed, gave Mummy the biggest grin you can imagine and then slid down ready to sleep. He was knocked out in 5 minutes. He did not even get his night story.
Grandmama & Grandpapa are rather worried about him sleeping alone. But Daddy built the side guard and Mummy is ready moved.
Grandpapa, Grandmama, Mummy & Arthur went to town. After town we went to the swings. Arthur met DJ again and coincidentally at the swings. (DJ’s Daddy filmed DJ & Arthur last time).
Mummy took Arthur swimming again. It was nice to go swimming again as it feels like a really long time. It was 3 weeks since Arthur last swam because of the Easter holidays and because he was ill. It was like he never missed a week.
Grandmama took Arthur to playgroup. Arthur came back with a gift for Mummy & Daddy which he created himself. It was a painting. Mummy & Daddy are overwhelmed.
Arthur poured Mummy some tea made in his own kitchen. It came complete with pouring sound effects. Mummy could not believe her ears (actually nor did she believe Grandmama when Grandmama told her that tea comes with sound effects!). He is so cute.
Arthur thought that Grandmama did not do a full and proper job when she left some tea towels to air on a radiator. He finished off the job for her (several times over) by putting away the tea-towel behind the radiator!
Grandpapa took Arthur out in his pushchair to meet Grandmama who went to the clinic for her test results. I think they have a nice afternoon planned out.
