Arthur’s First Steps

Today was the first official day for Arthur’s new scholastic year. Arthur started the day by going to Manor Park. Silly Mummy forgot to take Arthur’s home-work with us. After school Arthur went to lunch at Aunty Cathy’s and Amirah’s. Then he went off to Hopes & Dreams for an afternoon session.

Arthur seemed to have a wonderful day.

Amirah joined Arthur & Mummy at Church and Little Church. Then, Arthur & Mummy took Amirah and her Mummy to lunch at Colours. We then went to a carboot sale in Castletown and to the playground. It was a lovely warm day.

Daddy stayed at home doing all sorts of DIY in the house.

After Gym, Arthur was had Rebekah’s birthday party at Braddan Hall. Arthur had a wonderful time meeting all his friends and playing with them.

Then Arthur was invited to spend the night at Amirah’s. Needless to say both Arthur & Amirah were extatic at spending the night together.

Because our car is at the mechanics, Amirah and her Mummy came with Mummy to collect Arthur from school to go swimming. It was the start of a new swimming term. Apparently, they are thinking of not giving certificates at the end of the course because it constitutes too much paper work!

Arthur had such a busy day today. It started as you know with Amirah sleeping over. Then off to school (while Amirah went to visit her Mummy). From school it was straight to the Mums & Tots in Onchan where they had a Christmas Party. It was dress up… and unlike what you would expect there were no nurses and doctors in lab coats but fairies, mini santas, shepperds and Arthur was an elf! Santa even popped round for a visit. From there a quick stop home and straight to Ballet.

For a treat Mummy, Daddy & Arthur had a KFC picnic at home. We laid down a picnic blanket in the sitting room and had a wonderful winter picnic.

After school we went to the Onchan playgroup. While Arthur played with Amirah and Ellie, Mummy gave out the photos that she took last time. Sadly there was no ballet class as it fell under “half term”!

Arthur & Mummy took Daddy to Playmobil for Daddy’s Birthday. Daddy seemed to have a good time, though not as good as Arthur!

In the evening we went out to eat with all Daddy’s friends at Dell Etna in M’scala. Arthur had a great time playing with Sophie & Maya (and yes Aunty Jo too!).

Arthur sang Happy Birthday to Daddy too!

Friday’s are our busy days. First school, then to Onchan PlayGroup and then on to Ballet. Amirah did not want to dance. Arthur kept encouraging her but it was no use. Arthur was sad that she did not join in. However it did not stop him having a wonderful time.

It was swimming today. Amirah seemed really upset in the class. Arthur tried to comfort her but she was upset the whole lesson through. Arthur really seems to enjoy swimming.

We went to Amirah’s house today. Lisa was there. They did enjoy playing together. It is not often that Lisa joins up. It is nice to see them play together.
