Arthur’s First Steps

Mummy & Daddy took Arthur to see a new school. It is a Montessori school. Mummy & Daddy feel that Arthur can actually gain from this school versus other nurseries.

Arthur still was not too well, so Mummy & Daddy are not sure what Arthur thinks of the school!

Poor Arthur woke up with his eyes all crusted over. Mummy thinks he may have conjunctivitis. Mummy & Daddy feel so sorry for Arthur!

Mummy took Arthur to see the Nurse & the Doctor as Arthur was still not well. Dr Sharpe said that although his ears were slightly red and his throat was slightly sore, it was better to leave him without antibiotics but if Arthur got worse to go back next week and he would give Arthur some medicine!

Arthur had a really restless night. He was running a temperature and despite having Calpol, he still barely rested all night. By 7.30 he was up and about. It looks like it will be a Calpol day!!

Due to the rash we were advised to leave him nappyless at night. And guess what…. that is right, he had a dry night.

Arthur was not too keen on his antibiotics though he was really cute and kept saying yummy (with a grimace on his face) and “better”. So we mixed it with a little milk and chocolate nesquick. It went down a treat.

Arthur seems to be much better though he still is hardly eating.

This morning as Mummy dressed Arthur to go swimming, Mummy found a rash on Arthur’s legs and bottom. She noticed it was unusual and did the glass test. As the rash did not go, she got the meningitis test and it still did not fade. So Mummy dashed Arthur to the doctor who thankfully saw Arthur immediately. It was Dr Dickinson as Dr Sharpe was away. Dr Dickinson said it was not meningitis but he did not say what it was. He said we could go swimming but to pop back later to see if the rash was spreading.
So we went swimming. And at 4.15pm Daddy came to meet us and go see Dr Dickens. The rash did not go down but did not spread but he referred us to Hospital. Needless to say that worried Mummy & Daddy like crazy. We were immediately given a room. Arthur had to have some blood taken for tests. He was so good, he did not cry, not even when they stuck a needle in to take the blood. He made Mummy and Daddy so proud. Even the doctors were amazed at how good he was. We were there for 4 hours but thankfully Arthur was given the all clear bar a slightly sore throat. He was given antibiotics as a precaution, and we were given an all access pass in case we saw any new signs. Needless to say we were mostly relieved. Arthur was allowed to come back home.

Arthur & Mummy are not well. We woke up with the flu. Arthur is doing really well consideringly.

Today was such a beautiful day we had to make the most of it. Grandmama took Arthur to the swings but poor Arthur did not seem in the mood. Not surprising when you consider that shortly after he was sick.

He was sick again this evening. He even has a temperature of 38.5 degrees. We all hope he will be better tomorrow.

To make up for yesterday, we went swimming in Peel. Unusually it was quite full a class. This was the last class for the season.

Sadly after the lesson we found out about Uncle Roderick’s accident. We have been assured that he is doing well and is at home.

Arthur woke up with a very runny nose. He is unwell again.
