Edinburgh

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

We went to see the Castle today. Arthur thought it was really big. He really enjoyed it at first (though he did get tired of it by the end of it). Arthur was even given a badge of Bruce the Great (twice). Arthur was made up with his badge (he did not realise he was given two).

Arthur slept really well. He slept the whole night through. Perhaps it was because he thought it was his cot (it was identical to the one he has in Staines) or perhaps it was the familiarity of his baby bedding or simply that he was in the same room with Mummy & Daddy. Or maybe just worn out!!

Back Home

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Arthur slept all the way through Staines oblivious to being there. He woke up at the end of our taxi journey back to Luton. There was a delay on our flight but other than that it all went well. It meant that we missed Arthur’s music class but at least we were together as a family.

Fly back to UK

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

Aunty Jo took Arthur shopping and to the swings today. We think Aunty Jo will miss Arthur loads, and he will miss her loads too!

We caught a Ryan Air flight back to the UK, which went really smoothly. Grandmama came with us. Arthur was fast asleep as soon as we hit the car to go to Staines.

Daddy’s Birthday

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

Arthur & Mummy took Daddy to Playmobil for Daddy’s Birthday. Daddy seemed to have a good time, though not as good as Arthur!

In the evening we went out to eat with all Daddy’s friends at Dell Etna in M’scala. Arthur had a great time playing with Sophie & Maya (and yes Aunty Jo too!).

Arthur sang Happy Birthday to Daddy too!

Fly to Malta

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

Today Grandmama, Daddy, Mummy & Arthur flew altogether to Malta from Luton using RyanAir. Unfortunately because we took long to check in and to get through security we did not get seats exactly next to each other. But at least we were still relatively close together. Otherwise the whole flight went well.

Off to Staines

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

We woke Arthur up early this morning as we were flying off to Staines. He cannot wait to go to “Malta”. We flew with Flybe to Luton and then got a Taxi to Staines.

We had dinner at an Italian restaurant called ASK. Keri & Danny joined Grandmama, Daddy, Mummy and Arthur (of course) for dinner.

Travelling Home

Friday, August 29th, 2008

Grandmama came with Mummy & Arthur to Euston. Mummy & Arthur headed home to Daddy. First we caught a Bus to Hatton Cross, then the underground to Euston, then a train to Liverpool and finally the Boat to the Isle of Man.

Mummy again forgot to take a photo of Arthur on the boat. Mummy is really sorry!

Time for School & Time for Travels

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

This morning Daddy, Mummy & Arthur headed to the Buchan Nursery to find out more about the school and see if they would take Arthur on at Preschool level or not. We will get an answer in due course.

Then Daddy took Mummy & Arthur to the sea terminal in Douglas. Mummy & Arthur then caught the boat to Liverpool. Shamefully Mummy forgot to take a photo of Arthur on the boat. What a naughty Mummy she is! Sadly the boat was slightly late, and the there was traffic on the way from the seaport to the train station, so Mummy & Arthur missed their train. To make matters worse, the next train was cancelled. This mean a nearly 2 hour wait. So Mummy offer Arthur something to eat. Burgers. No. Nuggets. No. Sandwich. No. Mummy was perplexed. Then Mummy offered Arthur Chinese…. Yes! So Mummy & Arthur ate chinese before getting their train.

Mummy & Arthur were lucky because they sat in a first class cabin designated for standard class. Arthur enjoyed the lights. A man also gave Arthur a souvenir of a Russian Coin – 1 rupple.

Grandmama & Grandpapa met Arthur & Mummy in Watford Station. Arthur fell asleep before arriving in Staines.

Back to Daddy!

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

The nice bit about travelling, is that we get to go home. It is particularly nicer to know that we are going home to Daddy. Arthur has really missed Daddy (and Daddy missed Arthur). Getting on the flight from Gatwick to IOM made Saturday all the sweeter.

Daddy and Arthur then got to spend the rest of the day playing together, especially the morning while Mummy was at college.

Flying with the Grandparents!

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

This was a special flight from Malta to London Heathrow as Arthur flew with his Grandparents! Arthur sat in between Grandmama and Grandpapa. He was like a little king!
